The Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management EM Impact Program

The Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HCOHSEM) is proud to announce its 4th annual EM Impact program!

EM Impact 2026 is a FREE, two-day event designed to provide a supportive and educational environment for young women (ages 18-29) interested in exploring a career in Emergency Management. The program will be hosted on July 28th & 29th, 2026, at the Houston TranStar Conference Center (6922 Katy Road, Houston, TX 77024). Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided during the event.

This year’s EM Impact will feature the following panels:

• What it means to be an Emergency Manager: The Recovery Phase

• Partnerships in Emergency Management: The Business Sector

In addition to the panels, participants will be able to hear from speakers from across the field and engage in activities to better understand the different facets of emergency management.
